Mango lassi cocktail in a glass

Mango Lassi Cocktail: A Creamy, Boozy Twist on the Classic Indian Drink

There is nothing quite like a cold mango lassi on a hot afternoon, and this cocktail version takes the classic Indian drink and gives it a grown-up kick. Sweet Alphonso or any ripe mango gets blended with creamy yogurt, a little milk, honey, and a whisper of cardamom, then finished with a shot of vodka or white rum. The result is smooth, tangy, and dangerously easy to sip.

This mango lassi cocktail is my go-to when I want a dessert that doubles as a drink. It comes together in the blender in under five minutes, needs no fancy syrups or bar tools, and you can dial the sweetness up or down depending on how ripe your mangoes are. Serve it ice-cold with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios on top and watch it disappear.
