Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings, split at the joint
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • lemon wedges and chopped parsley, for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Pat the wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss the wings with olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking tray lined with parchment. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping once, until golden and crisp.
  4. While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small pan over low heat. Stir in the honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  5. Transfer the hot wings to a large bowl, pour over the honey-lemon glaze, and toss until every wing is coated.
  6. Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley, and serve hot.
